Introduction. From the Spoon to the City. The Architect as a Comprehensive Designer
Main Article Content
Abstract
The well-known phrase "From the spoon to the city," with a long history throughout the 20th century, has served as a vehicle for reflection on the breadth of the architect's work, his potential responsibilities, and his ability to encompass projects of different scales. This statement establishes the beginning of a discourse that seeks to understand the magnitude and complexity of the architectural discipline and its diverse connections with design. The maxim, whose authorship has been disputed among various authors, transcends the value of a simple declaration: it embodies a comprehensive vision of design that has left a decisive mark on contemporary architectural education.
