Abstract
Rafael Dom_nech had a primary role in the formation of the collection of Japanese prints and books of the Museo Nacional de Artes Decorativas in Madrid and the didactic function that was pursued. Some documents in its archive confirm that these works were acquired in the early years of the museum.
