Abstract
This research work arises from the study prior to the restoration. It encompasses the
firm’s own art-historical examination. It includes new contributions to the small known
corpus of pieces related to the Spanish viceroyalty and Neapolitan production from the
late 16th and early 17th centuries, made using ebony bichrome and inked engraved
ivory. In addition to the identification of the coat of arms from the practically nonexistent
engraving and the documentation proving the ownership of the VII Counts of
Lemos. Is included as the result of the photomicrography work of the appearance of the
incised ink on the engraved plates and its analysis.
